Experience the Real Cowboy Way At Klondike, 90% of our spring, summer and fall work is spent horseback and working cattle every day. And every day is a new adventure. While you help us get our job done, you also get to experience beautiful Wyoming scenery with the luxuries of a guest ranch without riding in single-file lines. Every time there is a job to do you will be riding with the owners of the ranch or a full-time ranch hand. If you like trail riding, you will love riding for a purpose.

One Big Family Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the lodge or on trail. In the lodge everyone sits at the same table, including the ranch owners, ranch hands and guests (You only get to be a guest the first day. After that you’re family.) Sack lunches are provided for all-day trips.

Take Part You help with the 'saddling up' here on Klondike. There is even a real camp out! Today you can experience the thrill of the beauty that the first settlers found. The Klondike Ranch is a working ranch that invites you to share the beauty of their land and the thrill of a real Western ranch. It lies in the midst of the country and traditions which made the Old West a land of glamour and romance, and it is surrounded by scenic beauty which attracts the modern traveler.

Rodeos Rodeo is a popular local sport in Klondike country. Professional rodeos in Sheridan, Buffalo, and Kaycee Wyoming offer exciting competitive action featuring stars on the national rodeo scene. Equally enjoyable and every bit as impressive are local rodeos. Ranch families participate in these events. Our guests greatly enjoy them.

Fishing
Klondike Ranch offers superb angling for wild rainbow and German brown trout along two miles of scenic Crazy Woman Creek. This lovely water is a true American Blue Ribbon class trout stream. Private ponds produce memorable 5 to 6 pound 'fighting' fish, with some to 27 and 28 inches long. Fishing trips and gear are included in full ranch vacations.

Wildlife Viewing and Photography
Klondike Ranch is home to whitetail and mule deer, antelope, bald eagles, coyotes (and the occasional rattlesnake!). In the Wyoming Bighorn mountains you may see elk, moose, beaver, porcupine, and a tremendous variety of colorful birds. We recommend that guests bring video and still cameras with telephoto lenses.

Sky Watching Klondike country boasts wonderful nighttime skies for guests who enjoy stargazing. Our skies offer a nightly celestial spectacle of stars, constellations, meteors and other objects, including the Milky Way, seldom visible in urban settings.

Accommodations The picturesque ranch house and rustic log cabins are clean, modern, and comfortable. Meals are served family style at convenient times. CABINS Cabins are modern western-style cabins with private restrooms. Each cabin has a wonderful view of the Big Horn Mountains, as the ranch is just 4 miles from the face of these beautiful peaks. Some cabins have kitchenettes, as well as living areas.
